Currently, variations in air quality are becoming increasingly localized due to the impacts of climate change and uneven population distribution. To solve various issues related to the effects of air quality variations on climate and human health, numerical model analysis\u2014such as emission estimation of atmospheric trace components, source apportionment, mitigation policy evaluation, short-term forecasting, and future projections\u2014is indispensable. Therefore, it is necessary to develop technological advancements in physiochemical models (e.g., atmospheric chemical transport models, chemistry-climate models) and data-driven models. This development aims to predict and understand the atmospheric dynamics of photochemical oxidants, aerosols such as PM2.5, hazardous air pollutants, unregulated substances (ultrafine particles, bioaerosols, etc.), and atmospheric dispersion during disasters and accidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThis call seeks individuals who can promote the advancement of physiochemical models, data-driven models (or both) toward understanding and conserving the regional atmospheric environment. Specific research themes are exemplified below; however, we broadly welcome applicants who can develop research from a mid-to-long-term perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n- Research on emission estimation, mitigation policy evaluation, and future projections of photochemical oxidants, aerosols, hazardous air pollutants, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Technological development of numerical models to elucidate the impacts of atmospheric trace components on climate, human health, and ecosystems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Air pollution and atmospheric dispersion forecasting through the fusion of physiochemical models and data-driven models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Development of atmospheric environment monitoring methodologies merging numerical models with satellite and ground-based observation data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
