ー2026年度日本エアロゾル学会トラベルアワード（JAAST-TA）ー
のお知らせ
日本エアロゾル学会では、エアロゾル科学技術の分野で優れた若手研究者（原則40歳以下の若手個人会員、博士後期課程に在籍する学生会員）の国際研究集会・学会参加及び研究発表を支援します。日本エアロゾル学会は国際エアロゾル研究連合（IARA）の構成員であり、海外の研究者と交流を深めるのは大いに意義があると考えますので、今回はInternational Aerosol Conference (IAC) 2026（中国・西安、2026年8月30日〜9月5日）を支援対象とします。
募集要項
１．支援対象
エアロゾル科学技術に関する独創的・先駆的な研究活動を行っており、その成果を国際研究集会・学会で発表することを希望する若手研究者（原則40歳以下の若手個人会員、博士後期課程に在籍する学生会員）を対象とします。外国で開催されるエアロゾル科学技術関連の国際研究集会・学会に現地参加し、筆頭著者としての口頭発表が原則として確定している方を対象とします（注）。
2026年はInternational Aerosol Conference (IAC) 2026（中国・西安、2026年8月30日〜9月5日）を支援対象とします。あわせて学会誌「エアロゾル研究」への報告の執筆を条件とします。なお、現地で開催されるIARAのボードミーティングに国際交流担当理事とともに参加を依頼する場合もあります。
注）口頭発表に申し込んだが学会側の都合でポスター発表になった場合も支援対象とします。
２．応募制限
他の助成金と重複応募する場合は、それについて記してください。なお、助成金は国際研究集会・学会への参加を目的として応募者個人に支給されます。応募者の所属する機関に寄付金名目で振り込むなどの目的に反する支給はできません。
３．応募締切
2026年4月30日（木）必着
AAC2025のアブストラクト採択は現時点で未定です。アブストラクト投稿締切および早期割引参加登録締切は2026年2月28日（一般USD700（約110,000円））です。詳細はIAC2026のウェブサイト（http://www.iac2026.cn）で確認してください。
４．応募方法
応募者の氏名、所属、連絡先（電話番号、E-mail）、会員種別を記入し、必要書類を添付して、期日までに日本エアロゾル学会事務局（jaast-post (a) as.bunken.co.jp）宛に電子メールにて提出して下さい。E-mailに添付する電子ファイル書類はすべてPDF形式としてください。なお、E-mailの件名には「JAAST-TA応募（所属・氏名）」と明記してください。
５．必要書類
- 参加する国際研究集会名（今回はInternational Aerosol Conference (AAC) 2026）
- 口頭発表申し込み画面（スクリーンショットなど）と、発表受理を証する文書の写し（E-mailのコピーでも可）
- 発表論文タイトル、氏名の記載されたプログラムと受理されたAbstractのコピー（PDF）
- 必要経費の概算（航空運賃、宿泊費、学会参加費など）
航空券及び宿舎は安全に配慮しつつ、なるべく安いところを選ぶこと。見積書は必要ないが、概算の根拠（参照ウェブページのコピーなど）を記すこと。
他の助成金や援助と併用する場合には、それについても記すこと。 - 学会終了後、現地で参加したことを証明する書類を提出すること（学会が発行する参加証明書、参加者の氏名の書いたネームプレート、発表時の写真など）
６．助成対象の経費
外国で開催される国際研究集会・学会に参加し研究発表するために必要な費用の一部として上限20万円を支給します。振込先口座は原則的に応募者本人の日本国内の口座とします。
７．採択通知
日本エアロゾル学会常任理事会において候補者（若干名）を決定し、2026年5月下旬をめどに応募者へ直接連絡します。
８．成果報告について
国際研究集会後に、応募者が発表したセッションまたは関連セッションの紹介記事を「エアロゾル研究」の行事報告などに執筆して頂きます。詳細は、採択通知の後に「エアロゾル研究」編集委員会より連絡します。

2026 Japan Association of Aerosol Science and Technology Travel Award (JAAST-TA)
Support Program for Research Presentations at International Conferences Held Overseas
The Japan Association of Aerosol Science and Technology (JAAST) provides support for outstanding early-career researchers in the field of aerosol science and technology to attend and present their research at international conferences. Eligible applicants are, in principle, individual members aged 40 or younger, as well as student members enrolled in doctoral programs.
As JAAST is a member of the International Aerosol Research Assembly (IARA), the Association considers international exchange with overseas researchers to be highly significant. For this reason, the International Aerosol Conference (IAC) 2026, to be held in Xi’an, China, from August 30 to September 5, 2026, has been selected as the target conference for support in 2026.
Application Guidelines
1. Eligible Applicants
This program is open to early-career researchers who are conducting original and pioneering research activities related to aerosol science and technology and who wish to present their research outcome at an international conference. Eligible applicants are, in principle, individual members aged 40 or younger, or student members enrolled in doctoral programs.
Applicants must plan to participate in person in an international conference related to aerosol science and technology held overseas, and, in principle, must have secured an oral presentation as the first author (see note below).
In 2026, the target conference is the International Aerosol Conference (IAC) 2026 (Xi’an, China, August 30–September 5, 2026). As a condition of receiving support, awardees are required to prepare a report for publication in the society journal Earozoru Kenkyu. In some cases, awardees may also be requested to attend the IARA Board Meeting on site together with the JAAST member in charge of international affairs.
Note: Applicants who applied for an oral presentation but were assigned a poster presentation due to the decision of the conference organizers will also be considered eligible.
2. Restrictions on Applications
If applicants apply for this program concurrently with other grants, this must be clearly stated. The grant is provided directly to the individual applicant for the purpose of attending an international conference. Funds cannot be transferred to the applicant’s affiliated institution under the name of a donation or for any other purpose inconsistent with this intent.
3. Application Deadline
Thursday, April 30, 2026 (must be received by this date)
At present, the acceptance of abstracts for IAC 2026 has not yet been announced. The deadline for abstract submission and early-bird registration is February 28, 2026 (general registration fee: USD 700, approximately JPY 110,000). For details, please refer to the official IAC 2026 website (http://www.iac2026.cn).
4. Application Procedure
Applicants should submit the following information by email to the JAAST Secretariat jaast-post (a) as.bunken.co.jp by the application deadline:
- Name
- Affiliation
- Contact information (telephone number and email address)
- Membership category
All required documents must be attached to the email in PDF format.
Please include the subject line:
“Application for JAAST-TA (Affiliation / Name)”.
5. Required Documents
- Name of the international conference to be attended
(for this call: International Aerosol Conference (IAC) 2026) - Proof of application for an oral presentation (e.g., a screenshot of the submission screen) and a copy of documentation confirming acceptance (email copies are acceptable)
- A copy of the conference program showing the presentation title and author name(s), along with the accepted abstract (PDF)
- An estimated budget of necessary expenses (airfare, accommodation, conference registration fees, etc.)
- Air tickets and accommodations should be selected with due consideration for safety and cost-effectiveness.
- Formal quotations are not required; however, the basis for the cost estimates (e.g., copies of referenced web pages) should be provided.
- If combined with other grants or financial support, this must be stated.
- After the conference, documents certifying on-site participation must be submitted (e.g., a participation certificate issued by the conference, a name badge showing the participant’s name, photographs taken during the presentation, etc.).
6. Eligible Expenses
A grant of up to JPY 200,000 will be provided as partial support for expenses necessary to attend and present research at an international conference held overseas. In principle, the funds will be transferred to the applicant’s personal bank account in Japan.
7. Notification of Results
The JAAST Board will select a small number of awardees. Applicants will be notified directly of the results around late May 2026.
8. Reporting of Outcomes
After the international conference, awardees will be required to write an article introducing the session in which they presented, or a related session, for inclusion in the “Conference Reports” section of Earozoru Kankyu. Further details will be provided by the Editorial Committee of Aerosol Research after the selection results are announced.
